* Not only is Putin endorsing Donald Trump, but Donald Trump whole heartedly endorses Putin and his methods. People are acting as if this is a surprise. Donald Trump has called repeatedly for us to enact or reenact human rights abuses here of the same sort Putin is so famous for. Of course they like each other.

So to recap, Storm Front, David Duke (KKK), and Putin all endorse Donald Trump. The American NAZI Party put out a statement saying they love his ideas but that Trump can't put them into practice without overthrowing the government. So basically, he's their guy, but his methods are impractical. you can tell a lot about a person by who their friends are.

* Why haven't I said anything about the Bernie Sander's/Hilary Clinton/DNC data kerfluffle? Because I have nothing much to contribute to the debate. All three sides have had plenty to say and have made good points. I honestly can't tell you what would be fairest, so I'm not going to try.

* Remember that teenager who killed all those people driving drunk who got only probation because being rich and white he didn't understand that his actions had consequences so the judge ensured he wouldn't have any for killing people? Is anyone surprised that not having any ankle monitoring, he and his mother have fled so she might continue to preventing him ever having any consequences for his actions?

* The man made disaster in Michighan that has and will continue to cause brain damage in children is a direct result of Republicans ending democracy and over throwing the rule of law in Michigan. The Republican Agenda continues to do horrible damage to real people. "Flint toxic water tragedy points directly to Michigan Gov. Snyder:"

* Today I made the tofurkey roast and veg. I really needed the protein, I think. It was so good even if I did forget the rosemary and made way more potatoes than I needed. This ate my evening. I've got tourney all day after my nap, so sparse posting is the rule of the weekend.

The winds are up and it’s chilly enough the beasts are napping in my room and only coming out for food, pets, and litter.

* Barcelona Women's Long: Ashley Wagner is not really my cup of tea stylistically, but that doesn't mean I'm not sorry for her when she has a rough skate and there were some lovely spins in there. Gracie Gold had a rough skate, I honestly have nothing much to say about. Mao Asada is still hasn't gotten her grove back, to my sorrow. Her first three passes did not go well. Her second half was absolutely lovely, but the first half had me wincing for her. Radinova has that unfinished look to her choreography that is common among young skaters and though she fought hard to keep it together, so many mistakes. She has so much potential, but isn't there yet. I really love watching Miyahara skate. I know the judges don't like the height of her jumps, but the jumps themselves are excellent and her spins and ice coverage are lovely. I love the ambidextrous spins particularly, and wish they were worth extra, though they aren't. She skated a personal best and it was a delight to watch. Medyedeva was on my skaters to watch list as well. She's at that point where she's started to turn it into a real performance and connect to the audience. Her elements were crisp, her lines graceful. It has been such a joy to watch her this competition.

Note to new readers: I am by no means a skating expert. I'm just someone who likes to watch single skating, and has been doing so off and on since I was little. (I like pairs skating well enough, but I find the aggressive heteronormativity wearying so generally only bother in Olympic years anymore. Life is too short for ice dancing and the year of the extremely racist costumes put me off so I stopped). There are whole years and stretches of years I hardly watch at all. There are years I watch everything I can tape. I mostly only write these up for my own benefit, and I reserve the right not to write them up when I'm not feeling it. I am sorry to disappoint the handful of you who started following likely expecting something more intelligent and technical.
