* I've been saying for years that anyone who makes it out of Eritrea deserves automatic refugee status and automatic fast track to a work visa and a track to citizenship wherever the fuck they want to go. Oh and keep in mind Ethiopia is bracing for a 1984 level famine caused by a drought and they are the ones taking on the most Eritrean refugees right now.

* Tomorrow is podcast. I really need to do up a cheat sheet with key numbers to go with the date cheat cheat I made in case I need bit. Really, this is a segment where I wish I had a special guest. This one is going to be so hard because the topic is so distressing and a portion of it is completely out of my area specifically because it's a part of history I've always had a hard time reading about, but it needs doing. Putting it off will not make it better. I just need to get through it. I also out to write down some bibliography stuff, but I'm flat out blanking on a key source.
Where are these podcasts I've been recording? The short answer is they aren't out yet. The earlier segments are in the editing process which is out of my hands. I wanted to have a certain number recorded and edited before we started posting them, as my health is fragile and having a cushion means it's okay if I, say, get MRSA again and can't function for a few of months.
The plan is to post on the 1st and the 15th of every month. I'm doing big topics right now, and the idea is to cut them into digestible segments of however many episodes it takes to do a topic properly, which means that we likely have months of stuff already banked once the editing and pick ups are done even with all the likely cuts. *fingers crossed* The result is we have one or two segments left on the topic I'm working on before we can do some fun stuff for next Fall as a reward for getting through tomorrow's difficulty.
