* Republicans grilled Hilary Clinton for 11 hours today as part of the 20 million taxpayer dollar partisan witch hunt that Republicans brag is designed to drop her poll numbers and keep her from becoming president.
* Props to Mr Cummings in particular and several others for calling out the Republicans on their bullshit at the Benghazi Hearing.
* Terrorist Arsonist in St. Louis: Seven Churches have been hit with arson attacks in St. Louis. The first six were African American churches. The seventh was mostly white.
* Terrorists have attacked a Planned Parenthood clinic in Claremont new Hampshire. This is the forth terrorist attack on Planned Parenthood clinics since August. The damage in this case is pretty massive. In this case they have actually arrested the terrorists, unlike in the two arson attacks.

* Today was homemade pizza, some cupcakes, and socializing. Djinni and Greenwick got me catfood and Halloween batteries, which may not be as exciting as the hand woven scarf or the bat pillow, but is very much what is needed right now. Djinni also made me an incredibly cool teeny tiny Cotote drawing, amazingly intricate and beautifully composed.
Hector is walking arthritis normal today, eating normally (for him) and no longer acting like he is dying. As I woke up above average on the walking, odds are good for his arthritis being much worse. I still think he's doing the long fade, but he's not liable to die today, which I'm calling a win. It is exciting to have the whole cat food storage area full of cat food.
A window pumpkin and the skull stack had bulbs burn out. I switched in new bulbs, but the skull one is gorgeous, but not bright enough. Somewhere I have like six larger bulbs, but not anywhere easy to find. My suspicion is they are in with the solstice stuff which is a major drama. The blue bulb is gorgeous in the skulls, but only illuminates to the second tier.
* Blunt Talk thought: The Sunday before last we learned that Harry thinks he and Walter are in a sexual relationship, but Walter thinks they are not. This revalation has haunted me ever since. Last Sunday we learned that Harry can't orgasm. He goes around asking other men what it feels like. For something as silly as that show is, it has some weirdly compelling moments. Seriously, I've spent most of two weeks thinking about Harry's inner life, in part because of how relevant it is to the last year and a half I spent playing Dhraegon, who is hyposexual and spent more than fifty years thinking he was asexual, who struggles with trying to figure out what is and isn't a sexual act for a variety of reasons; in part because Harry's perspective is fundamentally interesting in a way i wouldn't have guessed from the first few episodes. There is a semi-martial quality to his relationship with Walter that I identified early on, but knowing now how different his perspective is on that relationship from Walter's fascinates me. I keep turning it over and over in my head. I side with Harry, by the way. I think Walter is in Denial and deluding himself about the nature of the act in question. In any case, I just can't seem to let tis thing go. I'm suh a sucker for things that play with point of view.
