* The party was excellent, but I left about an hour earlier than I would have as my headache and fever were rising again. I've started Black sails prep and have hopes of posting in the next few days.
* Walking Dead: I haven't much to say about the episode except 1. I think the protein bar thing was in there for the line that went something like "You always think there is one more protein bar left." That line makes sense thematically and serves as a sort of tag for the episode. I'm thinking the actual protein bar wasn't the point at all, but served as an excuse for that line. 2. I like what I've seen of Heath and not just because he's the only cast member better looking than Glenn. I really hope we get to keep both Heath and Morgan. 3. I think Morgan is there to remind Rick of who he used to be and it worries me he'll end up being a magical negro instead of an independent character with an arc of his own. I want him to have arc. I need him to have arc and not just exist for the sake of the white male lead. They weakened comic book Andrea and Tyresse in really annoying ways to defang them for the show. I feel like Michonne's been watered down and her arc submerged. I think I'm going to be furious if they Mammy or T-Dog or Magical Negro Morgan. I'd much rather he emerge as an equal and opposite force to Rick, able to tell him no and restrain him. I'd love if he would over throw him, but given the show's racial agenda, I'm not putting any money on that happening.

* I think I am so checked out of Dusk 'til Dawn, I'm giving up. I keep forgetting to pay attention which is never a good sign, and I ended up reading the fangs summary and review while watching the end bit as it was faster and easier. It's incoherent and boring and sexist. I'm out.
