* There have been four attacks in Turkey. In Istanbul they hit our Consulate and a police station, as well as a helicopter and outpost in the South east of the country. At least six soldiers and policemen are dead and others wounded. Details were a little sketchy, and as of this writing, no one had yet taken responsibility.

* Sunday there were light errands. After, I did necessary things (lungs, cats, fish, plants, food), then spent a few hours getting a new batch of ebays ready. It's extra hassle without Main computer.

Hector is not doing well this Summer, but there is nothing to be done about it. I am doing my best to make him comfortable and get him to. It could be the heat, it could be psychiatric. If it's either of those, he will rally. If it's kidney failure or the like, there is nothing to be done even if we had money for a vet, which we don't. He is clingy and wanting lots of pets and has been for months. All he really wants to eat is treats, which he stopped eating last fall when the last of his non-fang teeth fell out, but which he is now eager to gum. Given that him making it through last Winter was a miracle, the rally of the spring was bonus time. He's a tough little guy, but this degree of weightloss is dangerous and i am not sanguine. I keep cutting the dreads out of his fur, because he really only grooms a few key areas any more and he resists combing, so I can only spot comb in short bursts. (His original abusive humans never comb trained him. Through patience, I’ve got his tolerance up, but not sufficient to substitute for the degree of grooming he needs without him assisting me).

Yeah, the M&M cartoons have been getting steadily creepier. Though they've still not reached the level of the Mr. and Mrs. Potatohead Lays commercials.
