* The Draconian anti-immigrant law in Alabama cost the state 10.3-10.8 billion a year. Republicans, considering this a great success continue to argue that we should spread that economy crushing effect to the whole country and insist we aren't deporting enough people, including our combat veterans. As they howl for booting out our veterans, our students, some of our hardest workers this next few weeks, remember that this is the price they want us all to pay for their racism and xenophobia.

* Further Loras thoughts from an email discussion:
I do think being heir as he is in GoT instead of a second son as in the books, makes a difference. That is a lot more pressure. There is a monastic quality to the Kingsguard and for book Loras the duty is something to throw himself into. Loras as heir hasn't that luxury. I do think that having to somehow bed Cersei on top of all the other baggage that comes with that makes a drowning of sorrows more necessary.

I honestly don't see how bedding a second man so long after the first counts as promiscuous either. It looks like serial monogamy to me, something I bet most of those complaining have practiced. I really do see Olyvar as solace, and he is someone he can talk to about his loss. Ser Loras is a widower, with no chance to publicly mourn, and very little in the way of emotional support in his grief. A private confidant he is not related to must be a help to him.
