* Russian Tanks were filmed streaming towards the Ukrainian border yesterday.

* The UK strongly suspects the man you murdered the photo journalist on film is from there. I suspect things are about to get really ugly.

* Fifty people were arrested last night for being outside while black after Midnight in Ferguson last night. One police officer was put on suspension for pointing his gun at unarmed people and threatening to kill them on camera, which he says is standard procedure. I'm assuming the suspension is for getting caught, since none of the other rioting police have been suspended for behaving the same way. Attorney General Eric Holder was in Ferguson Wednesday, which may have cut down on police violence.

Meanwhile, St. Louis police have been handling the police shooting there differently, releasing the video of the incident and generally communicating respectfully with the community. There are demonstrations, but the police are not rioting there nor are they threatening to kill unarmed protesters, not attacking them on their own property.

* I frequently want to grab men and shake them screaming, "It's not about you! What she does or doesn't do with her body is her business, not yours, and your opinion doesn't fucking matter! It's not about you! She's a human being with agency! Get the fuck overr it!" I am having one of those days.

* Sidenote: Yes, I know I get male privilege on days when people read me as male. I hate it. It makes me as angry as the bullshit I often have to deal with when they read me as female. I don't want special treatment, I want everybody to be treated decently no matter how they are gendered. It creeps me the hell out that in the course of the same transaction I will be treated dramatically differently depending on which way individual people I'm dealing with choose to read me.
