gwydion* Either Russian backed separatists or Russia shot down a Malaysian passenger plane as part of their invasion of Ukraine. On it were some AIDS experts going to a World AIDS conference, the loss of which is sounding large scale devistating as far as research and the patients in their care. Russia has been firing missiles into Ukrainian air space all week. 2/3rds of the dead were Dutch and the Netherlands is in National Mourning.
* Israel has started the ground invasion of Gaza.
