In the Flesh is so interesting to watch - I'm always waiting for it to just reach out of the television with gut wrenching emotion (season 1 destroyed me). It's frustrating because it's some of the best analogies for oppression I've ever seen - so much nuance, so many different aspects but, in the end, its still comparing oppressed group to murdering zombies

Kip Manley sounds like one of those dubious "boys own" stories from the 50s - or maybe a dog.

The first book in the Iron Seas series depressed me immensely because it was so utterly awful on so many levels - and later books in that series are pretty damn awesome. but why why why so much inexcusable fail?!

I'm on the same page with In the Flesh. The first series was one of the most powerful things I've seen on television. The second... not living up to it. Interesting, nuanced, and so problamatic.

Ah! Or one of Captain Kirk's friends maybe.

The world was so rich and the characters so interesting, but so rapey and so full of fail. It broke my heart, but I am waiting for the next in hopes.
