gwydion* Several hundred Russian Separatists are rioting in Donetsk in eastern Ukraine, and a neighboring city. You can likely fill in the speculation for yourself. In Luhansk, Russian separatists are holding 60 hostages. In the Ukrainian parliament, fist fights between communists and Nationalists broke out yesterday.
* I know I've been not talking much about Syria with everything else going on, but Syrian Kurds have declared independence and are trying to keep both sides of the Civil War out.
* Today there was little sleep. Hector was doing his howling for part of it, and I had to take in a time sensitive lung sample for culturing. After, I closed out the off-site storage, replaced a remote at Comcast, collected more bureaucracy, and checked for another square storage ottoman. Why do I want another storage ottoman? LM is getting older and finds a standing jump into my bed a bit much, poor thing. The problem is, I was using the purple one I got for Mache as a really comfortable leg prop at the alpha desk. They had no square ones with structure and storage, but they had a rectangular one in the wrong colour, but cat friendly fabric. I ended up getting it, as I could store my fabric in it and put it at the alpha desk, move the pouf as a leg prop to beta desk, and put the purple ottoman back in my room for cat convenience. I needed to sort the fabric anyway, as I wanted to store the emergency tanks under Gamma desk where they were. After I pulled out the smaller scraps and some things I had in there for patterns that can go to Goodwill, the paper patterns and larger swathes fit perfectly in red ottoman. I've got options for purple ottoman as storage space which I am weighing. I also ended up clamping the back door curtain as the cats keep pulling it all the way open. I'm calling it progress. Of course, I was supposed to sort bedroom boxes, but Hector threw up when I was out, so I did laundry instead.
* I dreamed TSA was insisting people bring full length photos of themselves "to compare with the body scanner images." This amused me as it is approximately the same amount of nonsensical as current RL TSA regulations....
