* Geneva II Syrian Peace Talks have started in Switzerland. I would love for this to work, but I'm not holding my breathe.

* Ukraine has made street protests illegal. Up until now the protests were peaceful, but now riot police have reportedly shot two protesters with a third man dying from a fall. Riot police are using water cannons on civilians in below freezing temperatures. Charming. The protesters are responding more violently to the attempts to clear them off. At least a hundred have been wounded and fires were still burning when I went to bed last night. The pro-Russian President has agreed to finally meat with the pro-EU protest leaders.

* I awoke from disturbing dreams of my old summer camp to the sound of Hector strewing the garbage all over the kitchen (Clank! Bang! Clank!). While getting out of bed I "found a cold puddle of vomit he'd left in the bed instead of getting out to puke like he knows he's supposed to. It was an hour before the alarm and I had to eject Mache from her mest to strip the bed to the mattress and as he made it all the way to second liner I had to lock her out of her bedroom. While yesterday's "Mediterranean Feast" went over well, today's "Chicken and Pumpkin," which looks eerily like prep school cafeteria chicken ala king, turned out to be completely inedible according to LM and barely edible for Mache. Oh, and Hector hit at least five different spots while on his vomiting spree. Thanks, Hector! I mean who doesn't like getting up an hour early to do loandry and mop the floors?

Hey just to remind you, that's a Dailymail link and as such I'm not clicking it. The Dailymail are an awful paper, horrendously homophobic and transphobic amongst their many, many other crimes. They've driven people to suicide with their relentless hounding. They specialise in outrage, half-truths and lies and stupid clickbait titles. So please try not to link them.

Avoid FOX News in all forms. I look askance at the NY Post's political news as they are only a tiny step up from tabloids and don't print corrections even when they mae a massive mistake that does someone real harm, but odds are you won't be looking at them anyway.
