* The fighting is continuing in South Sudan even as they are getting ready to start the peace talks in Ethiopia. Meanwhile, conditions for the refugees are appalling, while the fighting making it hard for any food or clean water to reach them. It's looking like your best bet to help right now is either the Red Cross (The Red cross has just started reaching some of the cut off camps): http://www.redcross.ca/where-we-work/worldwide/africa/sudan-and-south-sudan
Or the World Food Program (They've been mostly handling the ongoing refugee crisis for Sudanese and South Sudanese, and were already in country with supplies and personnel so sound like they have infrastructure in the pre-existing camps).: http://www.wfp.org/countries/south-sudan/food-security

* Today there was yet more bureaucracy along with the packing and housework. The thing I find particularly frustrating is that at the end of the night, one wouldn't be able to tell I've done any housework at all. The pile of things to leave gets bigger and more exhausting. I wish had more people to help as I am seriously worried we won't clear the mess in time for game Sunday. I've started moving things I don't like to be without in the hopes I'll be sleeping ver there Monday. My room and the bathroom are down to things that need to go with me or things I need to move later for particular reasons.

Tomorrow I've got more bureaucracy and errands. I can see the sleep time draining away. Saturday should be the bed and Greenwick and I moving stuff and unpacking stuff. Sunday, we hopefully move fish, with me and the cats following early Monday morning into the increasing chaos over there.

* The Clockwork Scarab was charming and a fast read. I'm too consumed with moving to write a sensible review, so I'll link you the Slatebreaker one instead. "Review: The Clockwork Scarab by Colleen Gleason:" http://slatebreakers.com/2013/11/25/review-the-clockwork-scarab-by-colleen-gleason/
