He threatened to shoot her in front of her four kids and the police do nothing as he was standing his ground against an unarmed women and her children, which is completely justified as her taking to long to park posed an existential threat to a man with a gun, apparently.

* Re: The Duck Dynasty Guy. I have never watched his show as Mythbusters is the only reality TV I bother with. However, I am disgusted by his incredibly racist remarks about how much better African Americans were under Segregation, and the massive amount of virulently genocidally homophobic things he's been spouting on tape and in print apparently for years. He wants people like me dead, folks, and a return to pre-civil rights era. Do not watch this man's show. Do not watch the reruns they are showing to exploit his notoriety.

No, his First Amendment rights are not being trampled. The government is not silencing him, nor has he been imprisoned for being a bigoted waste of skin. There is nothing at all in the constitution guaranteeing anyone a cable TV Show. Corporations have a right to decide who they want associated with their brand.

* My original plan for today was to mail the inappropriate horrors out, pick up the sewing machine, and check Goodwill in case they had a thing I need for the new apartment. Then I saw it was snowing as Squirrel was getting ready to go to his appointment, so I read a Luke Cage graphic novel then went back to sleep. I do not leave the apartment when there is snow except for emergencies because of the risk of a serious fall. I gave myself the day off and mentally shuffled the errands to Monday's to do list. (The Senior beasties are in winter cuddle mode. When I went to sleep they were tummy to yummy in heart configuration, with the bottoms making the point and their heads the round bits. When I next woke, she was curled around him, with him using her tummy as a pillow. So cute). I was reading Mira Grants mesmerizing "Parasite" when Squirrel called back to say he was spending the weekend and to ask for the charger and books. I also needed to rescue the car from the hospital lot anyway, and the hospital is in the section of town where my errands were anyway, so I did them, even though is was cold and wet and dark and slippery. As I feared, Goodwill didn't have what I need. It is the wrong season and I am clearly going to have to fall back on plan B to comply with HOA rules regarding my planters, which is more expensive and more hassle like everything with this move. At least the other two errands were successful.
