gwydion* Congressional Republicans claim they "don't have time" to pass immigration reform because they've chosen to give themselves so much time off. This makes sense. After all, they've been terribly busy refusing to pass any important legislation and periodically destabilizing the American the economy, so they need so much extra time off. Unlike the people their cruelty and laziness continues to hurt, presumably.
* The Cucch changes vote counting rules for a single Democratic county in the hopes of fixing an election in Virginia:
* That thing where Republicans tried to get buttons that say "Every vote counts" barred from polling places on the grounds that believing every citizen should have their vote counted is partizan? That's the Republicans stating out right that they hate Democracy and want to roll voting rights back to the 18th century, which is a core belief of the modern party. (Only rich white men should be allowed to vote).

The gun extremists claimed that a group of unarmed women excercising their first amendment rights to free speech and peaceful assembly were clearly the bullies here, unlike themselves, a group of heavily armed men surrounding and threatening the women in the hopes of silencing them.
I submit that they clearly do not understand what the word "bully" means.
* I made it everywhere I needed to go on time, despite all the parking being gone at my doctor's. I have to trust the painters will finish up, even with me paying them while they were still doing fiddly bits and needing to screw fixtures back on. He seems honest so far and I know where he lives. Also, he would like to work for us again doing odd jobs.
I was supposed to go help with the Trans 101 thing, but Squirrel's foot is infected, so he can't handle the walk to and from the apartment to meet the floor guys, and I have not yet figured out how to co-locate. Damn it. I think representation is important, but it is waaaay to late to reschedule and burly work people with a van full of equipment are going to turn up and I can't stand them up.
