* RP: Steampunk Constantinople:

Blake dropped a note for the Striders asking them for a meet up at the sports bar. they split up. Gwallog went to the Merchant's Guild to network and learn more about international shipping. Mildeburg took Skull Gazer Sightseeing. Skull practiced bartering with some success. She bought food from venders and some of that new fangled soap stuff She looked into turning asphodels into perfume, but they hadn't nearly enough. To her delight, she discovered poisons are worth money here. The greens would not let her ride the race horses, so she tried renting a riding horse, but kept falling off. Her hopes of being the first female jockey in tomorrow's races were dashed. Blake tried out a high end brothel. Shepard did more mage networking and discovered he'd been talking to the wrong Green mages about the Sunlight society, and that he needed to talk to the ones involved in Court or Church rather than the grass roots folks. They said the Sunlight society was thought to be a well financed break away faction of the blue mages. Meanwhile, his familiar went out to talk to the spirits guarding the city. It turns out that Air and fire elementals patrol the Umbral city while water elementals patrol the harbor. They are to guard from threats from without, but ignore Shifters generally. there were lots of warded places in and around the city. They did lead the dragon to a patrolling metal elemental infused golemlike robot with a silvered cage stomach for catching Shifters and kin.

The pack met up at dinner to share information. A big strider dominant pack also turned up. They said further inquiries turned up a lot more missing kinfolk, many of the sailors. Most of the missing were taken from the Warf district, but there was a cluster in the Stadium district and scattered missing from the little city parks. They traded lineages and it turns out the other pack had a Bubastis and a Mokole. They decided to ambush a Shifter catching Robot and break it, hoping to then capture and interrogate any mages who turn up to check on the giant robot. They were watched by a vampire they couldn't see in the alley where they slipped sideways. They prepped all their combat stuff and attacked a giant root with an imprisoned sailor inside. Blake and the other pack attacked leg joints and pistons; the bear attacked a shoulder; Mildeberg tried to free the Kinfolk; while Skull and Shepard attacked the head. They got very lucky with the head and freed the animating spirit. Unfortunately it had a death grip on the Bear, who panicked and forgot to downshift at first. Once everyone was free, the Shifters hid. The Dragon familiar flew Mildeburg and the Sailor up onto a nearby roof. (It turns out the Sailor had been snatched from his oat while on guard by the robot. the robots can reach across apparently). Eight Mages turned up to check on the robot. Shepard, on the assumption that they were religious fanatics pretended to be one and also claimed the werewolves who attacked the robot went that away. The Mages told Shepard to clear off. He did, but two other super sneaky mages followed him and later tried to sleep spell the three humans and the spirit. Shepard and his dragon didn't succumb and fried one. The other stepped sideways and got away in the physical world. Meanwhile, the Shiters attacked the Mages. Three were flying to examine the damaged head. Two were discussing components at it's feet, and three were clearly perimeter guards. Blake and the other pack went for the ground mages. Skull and Gwallog attacked the fliers. Two ground mages popped out of the Umbra at the first sign of trouble. The ground Shifters killed two and wounded one badly. Blake and one of the ground mages impaled each other and Blake took serious silver damage. Meanwhile, Bear and one of the fliers kept whiffing at each other while Skull and the biggest flier kept swinging at each other. Skull eventually took out the guy with the silvered hammer. (Bang, Bang Maxwell's silver hammer....) They took out another, and the third who'd used mind magic on them fled out of the Umbra. They took the very hurt guy away to question in a warehouse. By the time they got there, he was mostly healed, so they drugged him heavily. He seemed very, very into metal and automatons in particular. He did not know the higher purpose of catching Shifters and kin. He was in the plot for the money and the challenge of making giant robots with the others. They learned that Mages from "The High Guild" were financing is and that some "Cosians" were taking delivery at "The Holding Facility."

We ran out of time at this point.
