Authorities in Spain in particular are calling for blood donations, but if you are in the EU and can legally donate, now is a really good time. Supplies tend to run low in summer just generally.

* Today was way more drama than I wanted. I didn't think it was a good idea me driving, so Squirrel was kind enough to ferry my around. First I spent too much money on anti-histimines. Having sudafed on top of the claritin and zyrtec actually seems to be helping. Then we hit the library. My appointment was next. It was meltingly hot and when I got out, I noticed the lights on in the car. The battery was dead. Shaky as hell, I went back in to call AAA. It was going to be at least an hour before they got there. I got Squirrel to open the trunk, as a poverty clinic is a good place to find people with jumper cables. A lady pulled in next to us just then. I asked about jumpers. While she didn't have them, yelling around the lot found us a classic jack of all trades with jumpers and plenty of time. It was way faster than waiting for AAA, so I cancelled them. It took pretty much all the spoons what with the heat and the allergies and the gimping about and waiting in line for meds, doctor, and phone. I am not going to make it to proper setting up for tomorrow's guests, though I did at least make lemonade. I have to go on a bureaucracy treasure hunt tomorrow, likely also in oppressive heat. I need to remember to pick up something to feed them as cooking so isn't happening.
