* I think the treatment of the Bolivian President is deplorable.

* Last I checked, Morsi was defying the military and at least 11 more people were killed protesting. Pro-Morsi protesters continue.

I've been thinking of all the countries ( like Egypt) where the people mobilize and come together and aren't afraid to protest in huge numbers. I'm trying to figure out when this sort of movement died in the US and why more people don't come together and protest openly. For example, when those bailouts of the big Wall Street banks and corporations happened. That would have been cause to rally against the type of bullshit and hypocrisy that happen in the business world. Why weren't there effigies of these corporate idiot hanging from lampposts, for example, ON Wall Street?!

And that didn't accomplish shit, did it? I don't see any changes being gained from that.

There's been a few cases of trans people being prosecuted for 'sex by fraud' in the UK. The other very recent one I remember is http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2013/04/09/scotland-equality-network-writes-to-chief-public-prosecutor-after-trans-man-sentenced-over-sex-by-fraud/ They really should have prosecuted him for statuatory rape, not sex by fraud.
