When Squirrel went in today, he was miraculously improved. There is still permanent organ damage, but organs thought to be permanently shut down aren't. He's spending the rest of the weekend with the vet, but his one month or less prognosis is lifted, assuming he continues to respond to treatments and Squirrel can keep up his new medication and diet regime. It's eaten a big chunk of the money Squirrel was saving for a car, but the Butt is coming home after all.

Cats: shockingly resilient sometimes.

He's still going to be a pretty sick little guy for a while and he'll need regular vet check ups until he's out of danger.

Omg yay!

Tod says sometime there should be a "The Butt is Awesome!" party, if he and you are up to it. He also says if you guys need help fundraising for kitty care, he'd be happy to help. He's got experience with it (Hence Otis is here.)

Squirrel is having an issue with his paypal which he's trying part of the cost is going to be The Butt continuing to need regular vet visits in the near future and special supplies. He's saying no more than a thousand, likely.

He says we could have a Butt appreciation party maybe Thursday or Friday.

Tod says anytime after three works for him. I'm free most of the day too.

Tod suggested that since Chichitti's is closing on Friday, we could get a pizza from there. He's got some extra money, so either we could meet you there or we could pick one up on the way.

We'll need pepperoni for Squirrel and Veggie for me so that's two pizzas. Are they closing forever? Why don't I pick you up. I'll check times with Squirrel.

They are closing forever. A family member is ill, so they decided to leave the restaurant business. They will be selling their pizza to gas stations by the slice, though, so they aren't completely shutting down.

We've got $20 to contribute, so we could split the cost. Tod prefers cheese, and I love all pizza, so that'd be three different ones, unless we make one a half pizza or something.

That'd be cool. Would we be able to get a ride home as well?

I think so. I think he's said he's off.

I was in there tonight and it was packed. Why don't I meet you up down there 5:30ish? Could you call ahead to order pizza pick up at that time? I'm running really short on sleep as various things keep waking me up, so it's better someone more together do the advance ordering. I will happily go halvsies. Feel free to go large as I know we'd all like leftovers. I generally just get cheese for myself, so that sounds like two pizzas to me.
