* They have found the Steubenville rapists guilty. Good. If you'll remember the defense was that unconsciousness is proof of consent. I'm glad to see that go down in flames. You will note I haven't linked to the photographic evidence. This is both child porn and porn made against the will of the subject. Outside of it's use of evidence, the distribution of the photos strikes me as a continuing violation of an innocent underage rape survivor and I am disgusted by the prurient aspect in the continuing circulation of them. I am glad to see the boys found guilty. I'm glad to see the ongoing conversation about training boys not to rape and the toxic nature of football culture. That said, I think we should leave the girl alone and let her start healing. I wish the young lady well.

* The Butt has taken a turn for the worst again. Squirrel's been researching vets and plans to call around tomorrow. (My guys have two vets: regular and emergency. Squirrel's beasties don't). I haven't had much to say this weekend beyond link spam due to me experiencing one of my periodic physical inconveniences that comes with my long term illness.
* I've been watching "Terror of the Zygons." It's an episode of the Tom Baker old Who run. When the villain was monologuing about how they were preparing for the Zygon invasion fleet it started to sound familiar. They were taking over governments with the intention of raising the Earth's temperature a few degrees, expanding the exploitation of Earth's mineral wealth, and turning humans into a cheap work force. Wasn't that last year's Republican platform? Does this mean we should expect the Zygon invasion fleet in 2075? ;)
