gwydion* There is a temporary cease fire between Hamas and Israel while the heavy hitters of the diplomatic world try to sort things out. Am I holding my breath for peace? No. Still I wish the negotiators well and I'd very much love to see improvement.
* The Rebels have taken Goma in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Troops are defecting to the rebels in droves.
* What with all the dire and pressing foreign policy stuff we need to do what with all the scary ass things going on in the world, Senator McCain has vowed to block any attempt to replace Hilary Clinton as Secretary of State. *sigh* Rachel Maddow points out the extreme personal hypocrisy McCain is displaying.

* I went to bed early, what with the Internet dying. You'd think this would mean lots of sleep, but you'd be wrong. Hector and I are having an argument over whether or not he has the right to wake me up every hour or so for feeding. I am of the opinion that he 1. needs to wait for me to get up for the bathroom, phone, or meds, or 2. needs to feed himself, what with the kibble bowl being right there and him being a grown ass cat. It was not conducive to dreaming, though I did manage to dream that Lisbeth Salander (original version) and I were classmates at U of O and got work study jobs in the chem department together. My brain is weird.
I did manage to lever myself out of bed and do various errands and bureaucracy. My meds schedule was off, so I had to do it all queasy. It's taking for fucking ever to put stuff away a a result. I luckily had the foresight to dish out the goosh, which cuts down on cat "help." I have tomorrow's pies. I am hoping to sort out the rest of the bureaucracy Friday or Monday. Fingers crossed.
