gwydion* Israel has killed an Hamas military chief during an air assault on Gaza. Apparently they've been exchanging artillery and air strikes over the course of nine hours or so. Claims about who fired first conflict. There is talk of a possible ground war, though it hasn't been ordered yet. Fuck.
* A woman called Savita Halappanavar just died of septicemia in Ireland because they refused her a D & C when she was miscarrying last month, as abortions are illegal there. One more woman died unnecessarily in the name of this "pro-life" bullshit. I refuse to call them pro-life when they are quite literally killing adult women in the name of their religion.
* There was a heartbreaking Amber alert last night. A fifteen year old girl with serious intellectual challenges last seen being lured away by a level one sex offender. I can't see that turning out well. Damn.
