* Republicans continue to argue that it's completely reasonable to disenfranchise millions of citizens for the sake of a total of seven cases of in voter fraud across 50 states since 2000, but it is absolutely unreasonable to prosecute or even stop the massive organized Republican voter fraud practices like throwing out voter registration forms for people who's party affiliation they disagree with, voting machine tampering, etc..

* Why organized Republican voter fraud methods like throwing out valid forms are way more poisonous to Democracy than ACORN, flagging and tagging suspect forms and letting officials sort it out:

* The demand that elderly white male fundamentalist politicians should control women's bodies is about more than controlling women. It's about economics, it's about racism, it's about homophobia:

* I did manage to complete the first couple phases on my bedroom rearrangement, but the next phase turned out to be way too complicated to deal with when I was this tired and achy. I have ideas for how to approach it, but I need to wait for laundry to dry to try again.

* Greenwick and I went to the Haunted Forest Wildlife Refuge Charity walk. This is not a handicapped friendly event, though just within the range of doable for me. (The paths were much better than I expected with only two really bad bits, one crossing the lawn to get to the path and one where the ground moved more than I like on a slope. The length was almost exactly what I can do with not much left after. I'd be rough to impossible in a wheelchair.) It is way out in the middle of nowhere. It was also stunningly beautiful. Picture a full moon with a glorious cloud cover turned silver by the moon light. Picture mist across fields illuminated by projector light. Picture fairy lights illuminating a path through gorgeous night time Pacific Northwest forest. For serious, I'd have happily paid my $6.00 to charity just for the setting. It's a volunteer charity spook walk, so the staff was a little sparse and half of them were children. The horror was more in imagining zombies lurching out of the mist and in anticipation than in the actual scares, but that's okay. I occasionally startle, but I don't really scare regardless of level of proffessionality, if that makes sense. I was there for the aesthetics. The aesthetics were brilliant and I am easily entertained by comedy tombstones, beautiful vistas, and lovely little set pieces. Most of the monsters may have been tiny, but they showed a whole lot of heart. I would happily go again next year.
