* Eyes on the Prize rewatch:
1. Attica still breaks my heart, despite not getting the details until I was an adult. It had sch a big cultural profile in the '70's that one picked p the broad outlines without grasping the reality of the massacre of prisoners and hostages by police. The sad thing to me is how reasonable most of the demands were and how in most respects things have only gotten worse.

2. The attempt to desegregate the Boston school system makes me want to weep for my country because, it's one of my earlier political memories, and here we are my lifetime later less a few years and the Boston school system is still segregated. The schools the students of color predominantly attend are still starved for funds and basic supplies. The class sizes are still to large. The white students are all off in segregated schools. There has been zero attempt at all to make things fair or better in all this time.

* I was planning to start Solstice Readings today, but it turned out to be an everything takes way too long and is harder than it has to be kind of day. I did do bills, but not much else on my to do list. I need to do archeology round up reading and my Birthday is Thursday, so I'm see even more delays in my future unless the archeology news is light.
