I was doing a short Seattle trip with a lot of driving and not much sleep. I generally post a home and safe notice, as it may take a while to do a longer post.
There have been other, longer trips with car break downs, or a car accident. Memorably, the day my ex was murdered, he was meant to be driving south either that night or the next day, so there was a whole lot of confusion as to whether or not he'd left down, that involved people having to check for incidents along the I-5 corridor from my town (very north Washington) to Eugene (central Oregon) as it took searchers something like a week to find his car and body. A lot of our mutual friends read the Lj version of this blog and were involved in the frantic phoning trying to figure out if he'd arrived down there, stopped or had a car accident on the way, or never left town.
Ah. Got it; I do something similar most really late nights when I'm coming home from the east bay on transit.
Today was the huge refinery fire and warnings to shelter-in-place all over my twitter-feed; while I knew that shouldn't be affecting you, I didn't know if there had been a similar incident elsewhere.
