* Saturday was the first day the New New Meds showed signs of working. Unfortunately the side effects started right away. Most of them were mild. The nightly headache is irritating, but acceptable, being lower than the base pain level I was in. The biggest side effect hit right away, and is noticeable a bit worse every day. I'm bad at body temperature regulation. I always have been. This makes it so much worse. so much. The night sweats wake me up 6-8 times a sleep cycle and I'm having trouble functioning with it when I'm awake. If you add in all the extra time it takes me to get back to sleep and the pills making me tired just generally…. I don't do well in the heat. I've had heat exhaustion multiple times and likely heat stroke once. Today it was barely tolerable and I'm less than a week in. The headache is worse every day too. Earlier when I couldn't sleep I noticed bright coloured flashes behind my eyelids which is usually a warning that whatever I took is about to turn into a nasty hallucinogen. I just generally feel rotten on these things.
This is one fifth an adult dose and I just don't think it's sustainable. The thought of taking even one more pill fills me with a deep reluctance and foreboding.
So I'm calling Monday to tell them I'm going to peace out of this one..
