* I wanted to remind people that my opposition to the Israeli ultra-right and Netanyahu is about policy and harm, the same way I oppose all right wing governments. The stripping away of minority rights never goes anywhere good.
I don’t believe there can be peace with extremists in charge, and the new government Netanyahu has formed has members calling for really terrible policies, not just regarding the obvious, but also the rights of women, LGBTQIA+ people, Jewish people of African descent, the rights of reform and secular Jews, etc..

I know this isn't kind, but I'm not surprised it was Squalicum. There were a lot of good people working there when I worked in the district, but Admin didn't seem to have much interest in protecting more vulnerable students or keeping them properly safe.
For the record, I don't think their claims of ignorance are credible, given how much training you get in that just to become a teacher and how much extra training admin get, plus knowing the law in this area is literally part of their job. So there is zero excuse, even if empathy and decency had failed them, as it clearly did.
No excuses are valid. The duty is clear in cases like these. They shouldn't be near kids.

I know this isn't kind, but I'm not surprised it was Squalicum. There were a lot of good people working there when I worked in the district, but Admin didn't seem to have much interest in protecting more vulnerable students or keeping them properly safe.
For the record, I don't think their claims of ignorance are credible, given how much training you get in that just to become a teacher and how much extra training admin get, plus knowing the law in this area is literally part of their job. So there is zero excuse, even if empathy and decency had failed them, as it clearly did.
No excuses are valid. The duty is clear in cases like these. They shouldn't be near kids.
