* My surgery has been moved up to June 1st. This is a good thing as I've been noticeably deteriorating the last week or so. I spent a couple of hours getting everything organized/doing surgery phone bureaucracy stuff. After a nap, Head Millennial and I went and did the last errands before surgery. I can't mostly quarantine the way I hoped for 15 days, as I have a medical thing I can't skip early next week, but I've gotten the third shot a few weeks ago, and after Saturday, I can severely limit exposures, so it will likely be all right.
All my transport is sorted. Head Millennial will make sure I'm fed that night. I just need to get through what will likely be two to three weeks of ugly recovery. Given how ugly not having surgery is, I will happily deal with something a bit worse in the short term that means Tavy can't accidentally kill me by jabbing me with his feet the wrong way.

* My surgery has been moved up to June 1st. This is a good thing as I've been noticeably deteriorating the last week or so. I spent a couple of hours getting everything organized/doing surgery phone bureaucracy stuff. After a nap, Head Millennial and I went and did the last errands before surgery. I can't mostly quarantine the way I hoped for 15 days, as I have a medical thing I can't skip early next week, but I've gotten the third shot a few weeks ago, and after Saturday, I can severely limit exposures, so it will likely be all right.
All my transport is sorted. Head Millennial will make sure I'm fed that night. I just need to get through what will likely be two to three weeks of ugly recovery. Given how ugly not having surgery is, I will happily deal with something a bit worse in the short term that means Tavy can't accidentally kill me by jabbing me with his feet the wrong way.
