* Saturday: I only got a few hours of very interrupted sleep before I had to go get COVID tested. I realized I was to awake to sleep, so my plan went: Snack, lungs, watch some TV on the sofa and discuss work plan stuff for the week. After, I was going to decide if I was up to putting out the aggregate, or if I was tired enough for sleep.
Bwahahaha, no. Nearby Millennial stopped by to drop something off and stayed to socialize, which was fine but it meant neither work nor sleep reset happened.

Sunday is strenuous surgery prep. Monday is surgery. I may putter between now and then, but odds are things won't normalize until Tuesday if we are lucky, Thursday if we aren't. Apologies.

Because a number of people expressed concern, really, odds are things will be fine. This is a wee bit more dangerous and the exploratory procedures, but not by much. There is always a little risk with anesthesia, but it's unlikely anything bad will happen. There is a chance they could nick something and that is not ideal, but it's not high risk even if there is a little bleed like that. We really are talking 2-4 unpleasant and exhausting days that will likely take a lot out of me, but I'm not stressed beyond not looking forward to a bit of temporary biological unpleasantness.

* Driving home Saturday night a nightclub downtown had clearly been evacuated. (The biggest crown I've seen since the pandemic all standing around, clusters crossing the street to join another massive crowd on the other side it. There was a fire truck and two fire paramedic ambulances. The crowd was milling rather than panicked and from what I could see driving by they hadn't cleared anything like what they would for a fire or shooting, and there was only one or possibly two cop cars (I was driving and didn't get a good look at whether that was a regular car or not in front.). So I can think of logical emergencies that would get that mix of official attention, but there was no local news posting yet as of this writing.

Clubs reopened first week of this month, and we're in a high vax area, but I can't imagine eating and drinking indoors with a crowd like that. I mean there was a couple hundred people, though some of them might have come out of the club across from them.
