* Re: Summer Olympics. I enjoy the Olympics, but I'm with the protesters in Japan. Their health system's a step away from COVID related collapse. It would be a bad idea in Australia, but understandable. It's insane to do it in a country mid infection surge, and they really need a year of competition to get the athletes where they need to be. They should have postponed another year and done both Olympics like they used to before the midish '90's. They could just do the round after again two years later to nudge it off Winter Olympics year again. It would save lives.

The rate is 6 in seven million which is vastly lower than the blood clot risk with the pill. You are more likely to die in childbirth (for people with functioning wombs) or be hit by lightning. Compare that with the COVID death and disability rate on covid. If I hadn't already gotten my jabs, I'd feel completely comfortable taking the Johnson and Johnson shot. (For comparison, the panic over AstroZenica is literally one in a million, and I'd happily take those odds too. Of more concern is it not being particularly effective against the south African variant.) I'm not against further investigation, but seriously COVID is waaaay more dangerous.
Get the shot. Also, if you haven't been scheduled yet for your shot, please start checking, because it's supposed to be all adults most places in the United states as of Friday.

* So the posting has gotten even more uneven as you may have noticed. I'm still having a lot of chronic illness/chronic pain stuff including getting triple whammied Friday night. Plus all the stuff to do with furniture moving and cleaning with Millenials ius going on asnd even though all the really physical stuff is being done by Millenials, I tend to pitch in even though I know better. Also I'm constantly having things to sort or small things to move. There jis Spring garden stuff. It's all burning spoons.
Saturday I went out shopping with Caregiver Millenial (Trader Joe's and farmer's Market type place near there.) which is a lot of walking at my disability level and the fruit/veg/starts partt really did in my bad arm. And then I gardened while Caregiver Millennial put things away and worked on kitchen stuff. He is a really hard worker and making massive strides on the unfucking the apartment project. The deterioration of my dominant arm for two years and the aggressive deterioration of my nearly every thing but my brain for over the last year, plus the city renovations meant basically, i could barely manage the Basics most week. He is doing a lot of shelf cleaning and organizing, because where normally I move and rotate stuff as it's used and new stuff comes in, but it was too many spoons, so things ended up in multiple places and things like that. (i can't bend well enough to put forage cans away properly this week, Oh well!) Cats, fish, plants and basic shit like hygiene and feeding myself always come first, with me squeezing survival critical things like medical stuff and bureaucracy into the cracks when I can. They rest? Oh fucking well.
The bureaucracy has been massive this year and a big fucking new packet just came Friday. I did this paperwork in December and it's yearly, so I've no idea WTF, but it's tight deadline. Let's hope the office is open for in person as I am running out of spare originals. I'd very nearly cleared away the documentation stack into storage as bureaucracy season is December-March, though I start stockpiling selected documentation in September because you need three months of some things. I was too tired and ill to look it over properly, but assuming it is what it looks like this is the most exhausting non-medical bureaucracy I do. Sigh. Are they making it Quarterly? Putting it on a half year schedule? Is this because they had us mail December's stuff to some weird subcontractor and are now making us all redo it for funsies? Who the fuck knows, but I am resentful and don't have the fucking spoons for this.
Did I mention my glasses broke a week and a half ago? I glued them together a couple of times, but really i need a new arm and it was coming apart again, so I'm sans bifocals. I did find the previous non-bifocal prescription, which is not that different, but now I can't read things unless +I take them off and hold them right up to my face in good light, so that's fun. Sorting it out? Also lots of spoons, so I'm stuck for now, but can drive safely. It's reading package ingredients that's the issue.
* Sunday when the alarm went off, three different body parts spasmed. It went down hill from there physically. We did get a good start on the bedroom clean and reorganization anyway, and assuming mno one throws up on them, I'll have clean sheets to sleep on.

The rate is 6 in seven million which is vastly lower than the blood clot risk with the pill. You are more likely to die in childbirth (for people with functioning wombs) or be hit by lightning. Compare that with the COVID death and disability rate on covid. If I hadn't already gotten my jabs, I'd feel completely comfortable taking the Johnson and Johnson shot. (For comparison, the panic over AstroZenica is literally one in a million, and I'd happily take those odds too. Of more concern is it not being particularly effective against the south African variant.) I'm not against further investigation, but seriously COVID is waaaay more dangerous.
Get the shot. Also, if you haven't been scheduled yet for your shot, please start checking, because it's supposed to be all adults most places in the United states as of Friday.

* So the posting has gotten even more uneven as you may have noticed. I'm still having a lot of chronic illness/chronic pain stuff including getting triple whammied Friday night. Plus all the stuff to do with furniture moving and cleaning with Millenials ius going on asnd even though all the really physical stuff is being done by Millenials, I tend to pitch in even though I know better. Also I'm constantly having things to sort or small things to move. There jis Spring garden stuff. It's all burning spoons.
Saturday I went out shopping with Caregiver Millenial (Trader Joe's and farmer's Market type place near there.) which is a lot of walking at my disability level and the fruit/veg/starts partt really did in my bad arm. And then I gardened while Caregiver Millennial put things away and worked on kitchen stuff. He is a really hard worker and making massive strides on the unfucking the apartment project. The deterioration of my dominant arm for two years and the aggressive deterioration of my nearly every thing but my brain for over the last year, plus the city renovations meant basically, i could barely manage the Basics most week. He is doing a lot of shelf cleaning and organizing, because where normally I move and rotate stuff as it's used and new stuff comes in, but it was too many spoons, so things ended up in multiple places and things like that. (i can't bend well enough to put forage cans away properly this week, Oh well!) Cats, fish, plants and basic shit like hygiene and feeding myself always come first, with me squeezing survival critical things like medical stuff and bureaucracy into the cracks when I can. They rest? Oh fucking well.
The bureaucracy has been massive this year and a big fucking new packet just came Friday. I did this paperwork in December and it's yearly, so I've no idea WTF, but it's tight deadline. Let's hope the office is open for in person as I am running out of spare originals. I'd very nearly cleared away the documentation stack into storage as bureaucracy season is December-March, though I start stockpiling selected documentation in September because you need three months of some things. I was too tired and ill to look it over properly, but assuming it is what it looks like this is the most exhausting non-medical bureaucracy I do. Sigh. Are they making it Quarterly? Putting it on a half year schedule? Is this because they had us mail December's stuff to some weird subcontractor and are now making us all redo it for funsies? Who the fuck knows, but I am resentful and don't have the fucking spoons for this.
Did I mention my glasses broke a week and a half ago? I glued them together a couple of times, but really i need a new arm and it was coming apart again, so I'm sans bifocals. I did find the previous non-bifocal prescription, which is not that different, but now I can't read things unless +I take them off and hold them right up to my face in good light, so that's fun. Sorting it out? Also lots of spoons, so I'm stuck for now, but can drive safely. It's reading package ingredients that's the issue.
* Sunday when the alarm went off, three different body parts spasmed. It went down hill from there physically. We did get a good start on the bedroom clean and reorganization anyway, and assuming mno one throws up on them, I'll have clean sheets to sleep on.
I did not manage to get all the links up that I accumulated on the nights my arm was extra bad over the last week, but if i don't clean and post the aggregate now, fuck knows when.
