* The Syrian government continues to claim the slaughter of unarmed civilians and their policy of targeting children for torture and murder is strictly within the bounds of the ceasefire agreement and UN s in general. Meanwhile, the Russians keep sending the government attack helicopters and other weapons to help with the genocide, despite people begging them to stop. They say that the arms shipments being used in the genocide are not being used for that. Riiiight.

* They continue to evacuate pets in advance of that catastrophic fire in Colorado. I some of the areas, beetles have killed 70% of the trees. There is still no sign of being able to stop the spread. They really need rain. I'd send them ours if I could, but it doesn't work that way.

* Garden update: Those are definitely tomato plants coming up. Three lilies are showing signs of growing, and... I think it's the phlox I planted there. I suspect the lavender is completely dead. I'm leaving it there anyway. I'll have to try again next Spring. One of the gladiolas has insect damage, but they are continuing to grow. No real change with the asparagus patch. No sign of the freesia and the rest of the lilies.

* Fuck this. I'm tired and in pain. I'm off.
