* I am pretty sure I burned most of tomorrow's spoons, but it had to be done. The most efficient gas usage was to do things in this order and I had to go get my glasses, which they finished in half the time I expected. I stopped for gas first, because this one was going to eat most of what was left. Thence to to the highway and forage, where I only scored two bags of food, but they wwere better things than we've been getting lately. Then North to buy too many starts for the garden before I blew my EBT on the restock project. Then to grocery store one that has certain particular things cheap and with less crap in them than they add most places. Then onto the highway again breifly to get the bifocals. I opted not to drive in them, because the line in the middle was clearly going to be a distraction. Then to the cheap full service grocery, where I blew nearly everything. A couple weeks ago I started edging towards summer eating patterns and I really needed to restock for that.
Really, I wanted to go home round about waiting in line to pay for starts, but I had to keep going. Pushing through has a price.
The starts are planted. I put the food away. I was shaky enough by that point I scalded my left hand and a large section of abdomen making dinner, so that was 'fun.'
The glasses are fascinating. I may need to reconfigure my desk because the ideal angle for vision now is the opposite for my neck. The blur line in the center of my field of vision will take time to get used to. The weirdest thing? I discovered reading a graphic novel that when I'm reading top panels, the line coincides with the break above the bottom panel and it's like they are Coming Right at Me. It is a little like a mild acid flashback.
