Jun. 12th, 2012 07:42 amWent in to get ready for bed; discovered that a cat (likely hector) not only threw up repeatedly in there, he cleverly hit the patch that's been worn to shreds so as to perfectly plant a hairball on the liner. This is a drama since no way can I sleep without the liner as I keep a whole lot of loose tansy under there. Nasty for me, but potentially lethal for the beasties if they eat it. Why is there a bunch of tansy between mattress and liner? It keeps away the fleas. It's not magic. You can trail fleas in there, but they don't stay and you don't get live eggs. Frontline/Advantage only cover the cats for two weeks, but we can't dose them more often than once a month assuming we can afford it that often. You do the math. I simply can't sleep with fleas, hence the tansy. Washing the liner means locking the beasties out until it's covered up again. Sleep? What sleep?
