* Today's forage was actually pretty good if way too crowded and full of people not efficiently placing themselves and carts, thus blocking things and forcing me to gimp laboriously around the blockages. My toe is dramatically improved as of yesterday, so I must have passed some healing milestone. It's twingey and I need to be super careful with it, but it's not constant and endlessly annoying as it was a few days ago.
Char gen went amazingly well. It's a good rich design, with lots of stuff to hang plot on. They need to do research and write me up a background. (I encourage written backgrounds and reward them with freebie points, but this one requires one because of the merit/flaw package). I think the character will mesh really well with the one we have finished from the other new player. For those keeping tally: one finished character, one nearly finished character (Needs background at which point I can determine how many freebies flaw/background is worth), one half finished, two-four people who likely can't chargen until December. I've enough to start plotting properly, which is the main thing, and I really should be doing more background research to freshen up specific time period details, and do some outlining near future, but I confident we have a game that will be ready to go once the players are.
I am exhausted, so no guarantees on quality and quantity of posting.
Bonus: I had noticed the car was handling differently Wednesday night, but was focused on getting used to the feel of the new tires. Today I confirmed that the alignment appears to be fixed. I admit, I had thought 20ish minutes between them pulling the car from parking and bringing it back as a bit long for four tires, but the place was packed and I'd assumed he'd had to lend a hand on someone else's job or the like. No, I think he secretly fixed my car while he had it in the garage, because there is no way I got four tires and and alignment job for the price of two and we both knew there was no way I was ever going to have money to get it done myself. I am moved beyond words.
