* I dragged myself out to forage, despite terrible sleep because my toe is in the endless itch and ache stage of healing again. It was a long line to little purpose. I went to get cheese after, and to pick up needles for mending. I have a ton of needles for the stolen sewing machine, a good set of tapestry needles from the ancestral tapestry, and a weird collection of unwieldy large upholstery needles, but I've run out of sharps of reasonable size that I can thread in less than ten-fifteen minutes with my messed up hands. I had reached a stage of frustration with the one bent needle of the right size with a tiny loop that has lead to mending piling up. Lest you think this is an extravagant purchase, a packet of needles is 1.62 including sales tax, much cheaper than two sets of fitted sheets, for example. Since I can't afford new sheets, I must sew them together after every washing. There were just way too many people everywhere I went, but miraculously one parking spot at each destination.
At home, I did garden winter prep, changed out a tank, did buckets, swept the bathroom, refilled the busy box, and dishes. My toe absolutely hates this. Inevitably, really I was so queasy after I only managed half my dinner. Just as I settled in to work, I heard someone blerping. Eight separate spots, two in the bed, and one I managed to step in. *facepalm* So I had to take apart the bed and do laundry. I am not looking forward to putting it back together all by myself, but there is no alternative. At least I have needles. Sigh.
