* It ended up with Squirrel, one person who'd never played WoD before, and myself. I oriented new player in Mage (2nd-3rd ed.), and we got a bunch of the char gen done with her. She's got a really good base concept and I've sent her home with things to think about and flesh out, but she's taken to Mage like it was made for her and i have some ideas for arc stuff already. Squirrel got a lot of his done. He's reviving an old concept, and we're rolling her level back because we're back in time from where the last two campaigns ended up, and anyway, we misplaced the old version of the character. I've actually come up with some cool plotty stuff to solve the continuity and I've got a bunch of ideas for starting adventure things. I need to go over timelines and old. So Squirrel's going to do some thinking about how we got from point a to point B on his character's personal backstory. I need to do soe research in history and through my notes, but there's a reasonable chance of me being ready to start by the time we get characters made for everyone.
So a productive evening, but obs., this plus food, lungs, clean up, etc.. carried me to nearly Midnight. I made very little progress once the chronic pain kicked in. Apologies.
* Midnight Texas: I'm going to be furious when Joe inevitably cheats on Chuy. They've barely characterized Chuy at all and that's what they do when they are going to shove a gay and/or non-white character aside. Odds are they won't actually kill him, but twine the cheating drama with that other guy trying to kill Chuy and I'm going to hate that too.
