May. 31st, 2012 09:21 pm* Mr Romney wants to remind you that a twenty percent failure rate is completely reasonable for investment by private capital. However, the less than 1% failure rate in government investment represented by Solyndra is way too high and completely unacceptable.
* Mr. Romney was out telling the lie that the Inspector General found that the President steered stimulus contracts to friends and family, despite that not being the case. Yes, they investigated that, but found it wasn't the case. I do not understand why it's acceptable to make up corruption charges like that without the press hounding one about the lying. Anyway, what is really interesting is that when Mr. Romney was Gov. of Massachusetts, he did exactly what he is claiming the president did: funneling taxpayer money to big campaign donors' companies, which then went bust. From now on, can we assume that anything negative Mr. romney says about the President is really a confession of Mr. Romney's wrong doing?

* For the record, Mr. Bush was genuinely funny at the portrait unveiling today. Come to think about it, just in general he's funnier when he's not in charge of anything. Listening to file footage of his "can't get fooled again" quote, I am wondering if in a few years we will have trouble convincing children that the Bush Presidency was real and not a huge hoax adults are perpetuating for the lols.
* Seeing the Criminal Minds finale this close to the Listener season opener really points out how formulaic bank robbery episodes are on TV.
