Republicans insist that allowing any of them to speak is unfair as is reopening the background check so that there can be an impartial investigation, and have instead promised to vote him out of committee Friday morning regardless what happens in Thursday's testimony or any other evidence and to hold the whole Senate vote as soon as possible. Republicans are also so cowardly they are bringing in a Right wing prosecutor from the notoriously tainted Maricopa County, Arizona sex crimes unit, where they deliberately slow walked and did their best to impede investigation of sex crimes wherever possible to the point it became a scandal. This is the same Maricopa County that gave us Sheriff Joseph Arpaio's concentration camps for Latinos, papers please, and the unlawful detention and revocation of Civil Rights for American Citizens for which Arpaio was convicted and then pardoned by 45. Republicans insist that ignoring all evidence and witness accounts is the only fair and unbiased way to decide if Kavanaugh, who repeatedly has committed perjury in previous testimony, has the character and integrity to serve a life time on the supreme court. After all his accusers are women as are many of the witnesses, so his public propensity for lying under oath doesn't matter, his word is enough for them.
* Please, please, please if you can manage it, contact your Senators to get them to fight the Kavanaugh nomination. This is geometrically more important if you have a centrist Democrat like Joseph Manchin, Joe Donnelly, Doug Jones, Jon Tester, and Heidi Heitkamp; or Republicans like Tim Scott, Marco Rubio, Bob Corker, Jeff Flake, Susan Collins or Lisa Murkowski. (For Flake, Corker, Collins, and Murkowski please call for a proper independent investigation by the FBI and a return to normal Senate procedure in cases like this. For Scott and Rubio emphasize Kavanaugh's racism and support for racial profiling, for Collins and Murkowski emphasize the right to chose, the nominee allegedly having attempted to violently rape someone, and the Jane Doe case where he tried to force a raped immigrant teen to carry against her will, With Murowski, you might also mention his opposition to programs benefiting Alaska Natives). Jeff Flake of Arizona may be softening! Please, if you are from Arizona, keep the pressure on! Contact Chuck Schumer and ask him to whip the Democrats so as to get them to stand in united opposition. It wouldn't hurt to demand your Republican Senators call for a proper FBI Background investigation. They won't, but pressuring them shows them there might be consequences.

* Tuesday was a rest day. Wednesday, I dragged myself out for forage despite serious protests from my body and Tavy Button. I finished night and Silence, which i loved, and am very close to the end of Ancillary Justice, which i also loved.
I discovered two of the small balls from the little Halloween Tree on the floor today. i suspect Livia had gotten bored while I was asleep, as Tavy has never shown much interest in the rees, while he's had several frights caused by her messing with little tree resulting in scary to her sounds. No harm was done.
I really ought to be trying to solve the various lighting problems, but I simply don't have the spoons to fight those battles.

* Tuesday was a rest day. Wednesday, I dragged myself out for forage despite serious protests from my body and Tavy Button. I finished night and Silence, which i loved, and am very close to the end of Ancillary Justice, which i also loved.
I discovered two of the small balls from the little Halloween Tree on the floor today. i suspect Livia had gotten bored while I was asleep, as Tavy has never shown much interest in the rees, while he's had several frights caused by her messing with little tree resulting in scary to her sounds. No harm was done.
I really ought to be trying to solve the various lighting problems, but I simply don't have the spoons to fight those battles.
