This is geometrically more important if you have a centrist Democrat like Joseph Manchin, Joe Donnelly, Doug Jones, Jon Tester, and Heidi Heitkamp; or Republicans like Tim Scott, Marco Rubio, Susan Collins or Lisa Murkowski. (For Scott and Rubio emphasize Kavanaugh's racism and support for racial profiling, for Collins and Murkowski emphasize the right to chose, the nominee allegedly having attempted to violently rape someone, and the Jane Doe case where he tried to force a raped immigrant teen to carry against her will, With Murowski, you might also mention his opposition to programs benefiting Alaska Natives). Jeff Flake of Arizona may be softening! Please, if you are from Arizona, keep the pressure on! Contact Chuck Schumer and ask him to whip the Democrats so as to get them to stand in united opposition. It wouldn't hurt to demand your Republican Senators call for a proper FBI Background investigation. They won't, but pressuring them shows them there might be consequences.

* Apparently I really did need the sleep as I slept until after 3PM. I had one of those interesting post apocalyptic dreams, where we were a small band moving from ruin to ruin hiding from the invaders. (These are not nightmares; these are entertaining challenges.) The rest was all teaching dreams. I do miss it terribly, this time of year. I then read half of Night and Silence in between cat loves, as they were very much wanting them. It took ages getting dressed as furry types kept climbing on and either cadging pettins or falling asleep when ever I paused. I have very few spoons today, and so have done nothing more strenuous than feeding myself and gluing the busy box back together.

I have good proof the anchoring for the small tree is Livia proof as she panicked, rammed the thing, which absolutely terrified her into full on fleeing for her life, but the tree is fine. Livia, of course, is also fine, and once she was calm again was back over there.

We are having massive cat drama just generally. Just as Livia is the gentlest cat I've ever lived with, Tavy is the most violent. He's much better these days just generally, but he still is big on very rough horseplay and he is also and asshole cat. I love him dearly, but he really is impressively dickish when he is bored, or when he wants to play and no one else does. LM was also an asshole cat before grief subdued her. She was endlessly twarted by me and particularly Queen Andromche, as Mache was hands down the most dominant cat I ever met and was very much an enforcer of the rules. LM had no chance of ever dethroning her and that meant she ended up learning to follow the rules and cold never be properly In Charge while Mache lived. By the time it was down to just her and Hector, she was grieving and she wanted his companionship, so she was gentle with him those last couple years.

LM coming out of her depression and being more herself means instead of avoiding conflict, she is ready and willing to kick Tavy's ass if he takes liberties. This is honestly the best thing for him, short of having Mache here to help me raise him. He now has a peer who will take none of his nonsense as well as a human firmly and consistently trying to teach him manners. I am hoping that between us we can teach him where the boundaries are. In the sort term though? They've been cursing and chasing and batting each other the last few days. These things are never pleasant, but they are necessary.
