Contact Chuck Schumer and ask him to whip the Democrats so as to get them to stand in united opposition.

So a lot of our TV comes from Seattle, which means Settle commercials. This means that I know Duncan Donuts still exists even though I haven't had any in decades, since they don't exist here. I generally know nothing about their candidates for things like House of Reps, state legislature, and local elections because we donn't have the same candidates, and mostly tune them out, like I do a lot of the Canadian specific stuff that we get on the Canadian TV channels. I do know who Dino Rossi is because he's run for a a lot things over time and he's Horrible.
Anyway, there has been a really ugly attack ad running against a woman candidate for weeks with accusations so virulent I went and checked the Seattle papers to see WTF. Turned out it was Paul Ryan's PAC running them, and they must be pouring a lot of money into our usually fairly sleepy elections because they are running it a lot.
Tonight I finally clocked one of her ads. She's foregrounding health care, medicare, and social security. Affordable medications for everyone. A decent standard of living. That sort of thing. No wonder Paul Ryan hates her so much and is practically accusing her of killing children. She's in favour of children not dying of preventable diseases; he's famously for it. I don't know her and can't vote for her, but I wish her luck.
I think this sums it up for me:
"Schrier can't select the insurance companies her hospital chooses to work with. Hospital administrators make those decisions. They often work with only one or two Medicaid providers due to low reimbursement rates and the administrative cost of increased paperwork. We could raise reimbursement rates and save the poor children the CLF is suddenly so concerned about by shoring up the ACA and passing bills such as the Ensuring Access to Primary Care for Women & Children Act, but Ryan and his Republicans have been too busy spending literally their entire political careers trying to gut Medicaid and repeal the ACA with a system that would kick hundreds of thousands of Washingtonians off of their health insurance.
And criticizing Schrier for working at a hospital that turns away some people on Medicaid is a particularly weird attack to level in a race featuring Dino Rossi, who proposed a budget in 2003 that would have eliminated Medicaid coverage for 46,000 kids."
