* Tuesday I spent a ridiculously long time searching for a library DvD that I thought a panicked Livia had knocked off the mounting bench in a panic that scattered a bunch of books and DvDs piled near it. Tavy "helped" by standing on my butt and randomly clawing and biting it. I bruised myself pretty impressively and found four of Livia's toys. (Tavy only plays with them 10% of the time as he prefers wrigglers and the like.)

Eventually I gave up and asked squirrel to come help. Apparently it went back to the library Sunday. I must have absentmindedly carried it out to the library pile. D'oh!

I did the essential errands, including spending half my ebt on things I really did need, though I managed to space detergent, which the cats are using at an alarming rate this late month. Three of the things only come from that store. The rest only came from there or the Co-op and the difference in price wasn't that big. Still it is alarming to be this far in on my allotment with so many other things not bought. Hopefully, I'll make it out to forage and the cheapie grocery tomorrow. My worry is I have an 8:15AM Doctor which threatens the forage, though I can hit the cheapie after if I have spoons, which lowers the states on me making it out in the afternoon somewhat.

...And Tavy outdid himself. He got the sofa good right before bedtime while we were putting my bed. Fine, I thought, cleaned the box exterior, and started yet another load of laundry. I woke up to find he'd had an oops on the sofa. Partially missed the box. I think he tilts it. The surface is soft and he's clumsy because of his disability. Fine, I thought, cleaned the box exterior, and started the third or forth load in a little over a day, transferring the other pee cover to the drier.

A little after midnight I go to prep the area for a snack and step in a puddle. Of Pee. He'd peed right through the last lines of defense, into the cushions and on to the floor. I have no idea where an animal that size stores it all. I spent a couple hours cleaning including starting the cushions and doing yet another load of laundry. A week+ long project, plus now I don't have cushions while I do lungs, just canvass. i didn't even get the snack as I was too queasy to eat by then.

He is so lucky he's cute.

Cat Drama Ramps Up

Elder kitty was the first to discover the sofa stripped to the canvass. She was planning on a sofa nap and not best pleased. Neither were the Imperial couple when they separately discovered the lack of pillows. When I went to put it the one clean cushion and the pee covers back on, I discovered someone had sprayed the top layer. Sigh. So I sent it back for another double washing. As I typed this (10AM), the litter was covering the one cushion and the elder Kitty was trying to decide if sleeping on the pee covers without cushions is a thing she wants to do right after taking a dump on the piss cover.

I think the where is all the pee coming from mystery is solved. I think the two little assholes are having a literal pissing contest over sofa ownership and that's why there was way more output than could be reasonably expected. I think he's furious she's been coming out and hanging in the common areas pretty much all night for the last week or so, sleeping in all her old spots including the sofa spots he likes to sleep in. I suspect he started marking territory and she followed suit. She was a notorious over the top asshole cat back in the day and he is at least as bad as she was.

Livia is being an angel and staying out of it.

So now the sofa is unguarded except for permeable layers and the litter box covering the clean pillow, since the piss proofs are all being washed.

Luckily the mystery Doctor appointment listed on the calendar for to day was illusory. I called and checked and all they have are the dental appointments. My theory is it was a misrecorded November one, but I called literally the moment they opened to check. I am staying up to do yet another Renovation meeting with the city and sign more papers. unless that is postponed til tomorrow but it wasn't when I checked a little bit ago. I'm supposed to go the the pharmacy, frage, and buy a few necessary things. I've a nasty suspicion I won't be up to it, and we really are running out of stuff.

Thursday is the dentist and my gums haven't healed yet, so this cleaning is going to hurt. I've got things I'm meant to do friday, Saturday, and Sunday, plus research for this 1-2 week event I'm meant to be running on horror mush. The cats are being incredibly labour intensive and my body is really, really not okay with thte rate I'm burning spoons.
