* Friday I didn't get even close to enough sleep, but I made it out to forage. The plan was to aim for bed at one, but I'd accumulated a ridiculous quantity of articles I'd read, but hadn't posted and it turned into a viscous cycle.

It'll be fine, I thought. I can sleep in. Ha! No! It was for a good reason. Squirrel wanted to go to a movie and had a free extra ticket, so we went to see MIBs International. It did not live up to it's cast. It was watchable, but super predictable. It was way better than MIBs II but that's a super low bar. It actually was funny in spots and the tone was good. It's just with that cast and a better cast they could have kicked ass. Instead they did forgettable.

So I'm barely functional and pasted together with stronger meds because the pain is winning.

In other news, whoever made Smokin Aces II had zero understanding of why the original was so good. Ugh. Also, it didn’t have any plot twists, which is weird for a movie like this, since they telegraphed the ending really obviously really early on and the only suspense was which character I didn’t care about would die next.

In other other news, I finished Chernobyl and spent a good half hour crying during and after. Damn.

...And literally while typing this I managed to knock half of the only gold earrings in the house out of my ear. These are irreplaceable financially and I need them because my left ear closed up during the long burn recovery. I felt it come out; I saw it fall; it wasn't anywhere it could have landed or anywhere near where it could have landed. My Grandmother gave me these. They are not things I'd have picked for myself but they remind me of her. The are also unidirectional, which makes it worse aesthetically to only have one.

Shit. Next time I'm sick too long and they close up again, I won't have something safe to stick in both holes if I need to re-pierce both at once.
