* So I'm just short of a week in on this lung infection, which it turns out squirrel also has, along with his nursing home. Odds are, he gave it to me. I did get him to stay home Thursday and he's been holed up in his cave only emerging for juice and supplies. I'm puttering along at half speed and on maximum meds, as knock you on your ass sick for a healthy person is medium sick to someone who is always sick and used to making due. This thing has only tried to suffocate me twice, which is nothing compared to say, a month of life threatening pneumonia or six months of lung MRSA. So annoying, requires hoarded resources and much sleep. I don't need to leave the house until Monday anyway, so it's mostly inconveniencing rp partners anyway. As always, there is a chance of escalation or secondary infection, but I'm already doing everthing I can for now.

Thanks to all of you who have written in about the tech. After a consultation, it sounds like the shitty microsoft update that turned my computer into an asshole the last week or so is a contributing factor. Odds are that the Firefox update was more the straw that broke the camels back rather than the main culprit. Things appear a touch more stable today, so I am holding off on rolling things back in hopes that microsoft will get their shit together.

Tavy Button, who has a similar taste in play and mesting sites as my late beloved hector, has discovered the second to last of Hector's old napping spots not already taken over, as had the Best Nap in it today.

* Figure Skating: NHK.

Ladies: Chartrand seems to have picked a program that works well with her strengths, but some of her second half elements fell apart. Mirai Nagasu had a lovely skate. Medvedeva was having an uncharacteristically rough skate and actually fell? Seriously, this season has been full of rough skates for the top people. I hope they are getting it all out of the way before the Olympics. Polina Tsurskaya is only just up from juniors and apparently has had a lot of injuries, but oh, do I like how she skates. Seriously, I think whoever gets the third slot will do fine. Carolina Kostner's choreography suits her and her skating is really expressive, but she was having a little trouble tonight too, though not as bad as it might have been and the silver was deserved.

Men: I wrote a whole complex thing up, but the computer ate it and reconstructing it is too much work, frankly.
