* Today was brutal.

Tavy woke me fifteen minutes before the alarm with a very concerned expression. My dream was one of those ones that is disturbing after, but not particularly upsetting while it was going on. (I was playing a character very different from myself, and the motion was more detached resignation at a sudden inevitable betrayal rather than some sort of acute distress). So it was plausible I could have made a sound that worried him. It turned out from his behavior that he was probably just bored and hoping if he checked to see if I was awake aggressively enough I might wake up and entertain him. Squirrel says these are not mutually exclusive impulses. In any case, I did get up, much to his delight, but alas, put my shoes on and left once I was together enough to do so.

There were lines everywhere and no parking. Of course. The lines was wrapped around the corner at forage, so I went on ahead to the pharmacy, since that also had to happen today, but there wa no parking there and I went on to the next block for the library, which also had to happen today. By the time i got out of there, I could get something within a block of the pharmacy and rescued my meds. There was still no parking at forage and the line was only a block long, and we were out of bread with no hope of food allotment until Friday, so I slogged from way far out and waited in the line without my chair (I can't carry a ox and a lawn chair two country length blocks by myself) for an hour and a half. Pickings were not good, but I do have sandwich bread and mushrooms, and I have been craving mushrooms. At least it rained yesterday, so the heat and allergens were at reasonable level and the lady in front of me was polite and went way out for her smoke, which is good since I'd nearly thrown up twice at that point and the anti-nausea drugs wouldn't mostly solve that for another hour. (The trick with anti-nausea drugs is keeping them down long enough for them to absorb. Today was just randomly bad, though dragging out of bed without waiting a full hour after taking the pills, may have contributed.) Anyway, if I'd started coughing I'd have been done for. There was still nowhere to park after I went to get my car and a long line of double parked people picking up. Breaking a traffic law like and being an asshole with my car that stresses me out, but I could see no options, and I had to load myself as there were no helpers for that either, but I managed reasonably fast and only inconvenienced one person who had the sense to go around

I did unload. I did water plants, feed fish, change a tank, all of which needed doing, but my stomach isn't really right, I hurt everywhere, and the crowding put me into mid over load.
