* Today I was tired and took things super slow. I'm also having a texture day. Okay, every day is a texture day, but today was one of the turned up to twelve days, which made clothes and the kitchen a drama. I still need to finish the interior window display organization, but it needs to wait for a day when I can handle more than the essentials. Tavy's first accident in Halloweentown came just before bed yesterday and the noise obviously distressed him. Nothing was broken and I'm going to base the final set up around today's telemetry. He's clearly trying hard not to knock things over, but he has that serious balance issue that makes him extra clumsy even as young cats go. My worry was he'd immediately try to eat the trees and break all of Halloweentown in attempts to play with it, but he's being super careful, so it looks more like the occasional accident is the real risk and I'm used to that with Hector.
He also tried to run off with one of the gift socks after the supplemental photoshoot I did today for the benefit of the knitter.

* TNG 3 Rewatch:
- "Yesterday's Enterprise" was the first episode I saw with Tasha Yar in it, and I think it's the best with this character. it is also proof, along with the later Romulan character, that the problems with the character in Season One were the result of bad season one writing and not Denise Crosby's acting. The way she got referenced in season two and now here suggests that someone involved with writing and/or plotting understood they'd made a bit of a mess and left things feeling unfinished. This is a fitting send off, I think, and it gives closure to the audience, even if only Guinan ever knows of her sacrifice in verse.
