* Racist Terrorist Attacks Church: A white male coward in Charleston has attacked unarmed people at their payers in a black church, murdering nine, including the pastor and state senator. Most of the cowardly thug's victims were women. The shooter is in custody and has a history of racist violence. They are naming the library branch where one of the dead was librarian after her.

* I spent the next two days recovering.

* "A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night" was beautifully shot and eerie. I loved that it did not end as I expected. Watching it, I kept thinking how much interesting cinema we miss in this country because we are always telling the same stories over and over and never much looking outside our borders.
