* It is looking like Devin Nunes is once again interfering in the Trump-Russia investigation, from which he is supposed to be recused because of previous unethical conduct intended to damage the investigation, this time secretly dispatching staffers at taxpayer's expense to London in hopes that if they harass Christopher Steele he'll not aid the investigation.

* As a trans person, bodily autonomy is a redline for me and it's how Bernie lost me. "Of Course Abortion Should Be a Litmus Test for Democrats:"

* Jeff Sessions continues the Republican War on Voting by insisting it’s completely reasonable for people to lose the right to vote if they only vote in Presidential election years instead of every election. Since poor people have a harder time getting off work to vote, they are going to be disproportionately harmed by a law that purges people if they haven’t voted in the last two years, which is the goal of the legislation, of course. "Justice Dept. sides with Ohio’s purge of inactive voters in case headed to Supreme Court:"

* A police officer in Grand Praire Texas hunted, assaulted, and permanently disfigured Rashuan Barnes even though the man was not suspected of any crime and unarmed. The police point out that there is no law against unprovoked assaults against black men by police and therefore the officer acted correctly in both maiming the man for no reason and failing to file a report, as were the other officers who refused to investigate the savage assault.

* Death by Silver is delightful! It's very, very me. I would like to thank whichever of you recommended it. For those of you who did not know of this book, it is about two Victorian gentlemen who prefer gentlemen solving a murder in a Victorian London in which metaphysics (Hermetic magic) is a thing. The world building is A++. Patent from a kit magic that completely botches enchantments. Terrible boarding school hazing. A sort of Perter Whimsey/Sherlock Holmes atmosphere with plenty of Waugh tossed in. I am charmed.
