* I had assumed Kushner was guilty of a variety of mostly corruption related crimes based on the previous reporting, It’s sure looking like treason as well with the new information about his brokering back channel collusion with the Russians during the election campaign. I had honestly assumed he was more competent than to do something so blatant.

* Montana Republicans are such terrible people that they decided to send a man to congress who violently assaulted a reporter for daring to politely ask him a question about the ACA Repeal and then lied about it being entirely the victim’s fault knowing full well that a recording and multiple witnesses all testify to it having been an entirely unprovoked attack. Congressional Republicans are such horrible people that they were out defending him after he chose to assault that reporter for no reason. They all did this on purpose, knowing what sort of person Gianforte is.

I've seen a handful of criticisms of the back-channel story... and a couple decrying the use of "back-channel" to describe requesting secret communication as it conflates actual diplomatic practices with what could be construed as pure espionage...

Fair enough.

I honestly can't see a reputable reason to delibrately use Russian equipment for secret talks and then lying about it when there were legal normal channels they could have used.

Drumpf has been using doublespeak and whitewashing from the very beginning.... we need to be vigilant and call it out every single fucking time the administration tries to spin this shit.
