* There were a whole set of serious coordinated Taliban attacks on Western targets in Kabul. Afghan security forces fought them off as of this writing. I'm seeing claims the insurgents were all killed, but I'm not betting on that. Casualty reports look preliminary but it's looking like 8 Security force guys killed and 44 people wounded including five civilians. I'm not seeing any firm insurgent casualty. I am seeing a lot of spin from various quarters.

* Greenwick came by. We talked history and geoplitics, then I subjected him to Casablanca, which he had never seen. I am randomly exhausted, so I'm thinking of turning in.
