* It's looking like Devin Nunes not only has Trump taint all over him but it's looking like he has financial ties to Putin. Also, lets look at an analogy for his behavior in a more familiar investigative realm. Imagine an investigation of an organized crime syndicate. Imagine the man in charge of the investigation was known to be a member of that alleged syndicate within the past year and routinely openly informs the important member of the syndicate what evidence they've found because the organized crime family is "getting beat up in the press" and so deserves to know the details of the investigation. Imagine the head of the investigation calls around to newspapers to use his power to suppress media reports of the crime syndicate's wrong doing and gives press conferences trying to vindicate the people he is supposedly investigating without talking to other case investigators, contradicting the other investigators findings in hopes of scuttling the investigation. Imagine he cancels public testimony unilateral and admits publicly he's never heard of five key figures they are investigating which means he's literally never looked at any of the evidence or is lying, but still insists he is competent to over rule the other investigators. Now add in that not only did he work openly for one of the people he is investigating but has direct financial ties to another.
What would happen? Think he'd still be lead investigator and not a suspect? how "unbiased" would the press and the FBI consider him? Just saying. I don't know for sure he's broken any laws, but shouldn't he be off the case given the weight of circumstantial here and how is it even vaguely acceptable that someone with direct financial ties to Putin has access to classified intelligence for all this time. Have Republicans no sense of patriotism left at all?

* They lung situation is worsening again. I took the last antibiotics Sunday morning, but I'm about as bad as I was just before I started them again. I know I should be more patient. I've not had this pneumonia for quite two months, but I am so exhausted by it and it is hard to accomplish anything if I'm in danger of throwing up or passing out from the coughing every time I bend over.
In other news I actually figured out where locally I could get the sandwich I've been fantasizing about for a few weeks. Of course it's not something I have money for. everything I have left with auto-withdraw in the next week, but it's nice to know there is a source closer than, say, Philadelphia. I've been reduced to digging forlornly in the freezer for lost Mexican Popsicles for my throat.
