gwydion* Tornadoes did a lot of damage in the Dallas/Fort Worth/Arlington area, but no one was killed. The footage is pretty scary, so it's a bit miraculous everyone survived.
* They are letting the Trans beauty queen compete in Miss Universe after all. Y'all know I haven't much patience with beauty pageants, but I believe if we're having them they shouldn't discriminate. She's beautiful and she won her title in BC through merit; she shouldn't be arbitrarily barred from competing because pageant officials *cough* Trump *cough* are bigots.
* DC: Romney 70%, Paul 12%, Gingrich 11%; Maryland: Romney 49%, Santorum 29%, Gingrich 11%, Paul 10%; Wisconsin: Romney 43%, Santorum 38%, Paul 12%, Gingrich 6%.
* For the record, I am deeply uncomfortable with the networks calling elections with 0-10% of the vote counted. Yes, even when they are right. Yes, even with Santorum not on the DC ballot, though I am more sympathetic with that.
* Mitt Romney want to remind you that he thinks the Ryan "budget is "marvelous." After all it abolishes medicare and slashes programs like Medicaid and Head Start in order to pay for even more huge tax cuts to rich. Presumably on the theory that demolishing the Middle Class and permanently damaging the economy is good for the top 1% who will reap all the benefits of that and they are the only folks who matter to him. I do not understand why he thinks this is a populist message, but he and Ryan have been campaigning hard together with this message.
* The French Intelligence service is on it's second round of sweeps since those killings in Toulouse.

* Hector decided it would be a good idea to wake me up every time I drifted off. I forget when I last had even three hours of uninterrupted sleep in a row. The physical pain is impressive even by my standard, and I'm at the can barely walk/can't bend over stage. Some groceries didn't get bought because they were on lower shelves. I'm barely functional and there is no sign of Hector stopping.
* Tomorrow's the big gay potluck and I don't see how I can make anything, let alone actually go. There's also the slow payer's package to get out somehow. Sigh.
* This has come up in different forms in at least three places recently, so I'm saying it here. 1. Everyone is weird. Trust me. 2. If normal existed it would likely be boring and a little creepy. 3. I am a connoisseur of spicy brains, by which I mean I like people who are interesting and have cool stuff in their brains to share. Having interesting stuff to say usually comes with quirks. Quirks can be fun too. 4. I'm weird and I'm fine with it. I own my quirks. I think it's much more happy making to relax and go with it as long as you aren't hurting people in a non-consensual sort of way. 5. Trust me, eccentricity can be a selling point and not a flaw.
* Does the world really need a modern Three Stooges movie?
